Will I get to meet and network with other attendees?
Yes, this is an “on-camera” event where you will have the opportunity to interact with other attendees in small virtual breakout sessions powered by Mixtroz, so grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the virtual networking experience.
Are there any specific computer settings required for this event?
While the presentation portion of the event is held in Zoom, the breakout session is hosted in a separate platform called Mixtoz, which works best in Google Chrome. So, if you are joining the session from a desk or laptop, be sure that your browser settings are set to open in Chrome. You may also want to check with your IT department to ensure that there are no firewalls that would prevent you from joining. You will also want to be sure that your camera and sound settings are working properly, so that you may interact with other attendees in the session.
May I join this event from a smartphone or tablet?
Absolutely! If joining the session from a smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the Mixtroz app from your app store. After launching the app, you will need to enter the mix code that was provided to you in the pre-event email information that was sent to you after registration. The code will also be provided to you during the event.
How are the small breakout groups distributed?
After joining Mixtroz, you will be asked to answer a few questions which will then match you with complementary attendees.
How many attendees are in the small breakout groups?
Typically, the small groups will have anywhere from 6 – 10 attendees, depending on how many people register for the event.
What kind of topics are discussed in the small breakouts?
Once you are in your small breakout group, you will be given a list of 2-3 ice breaker questions, as well as a group activity based on the topic of that specific event in order to keep the conversations going.
How can I connect with those I meet after the event concludes?
At the end of your networking session, you will be presented with the opportunity to request to send an email to contacts within your group.
